In 1970 after being exposed to the breed and visiting the prestigious Crufts
dog show in England I, Evelyn Frei imported my first Staffordshire Bull
Terrier, a little red bitch pup, from England to Switzerland. Shortly
thereafter I imported a black male pup and the rest is history. I started
breeding, then showing my dogs very successfully all over Europe, winning
several championship awards.
In loving memory
Aug. 1953 - July 2007
|In 1979 my husband, Ulrich and I moved to Canada, we where accompanied by several of our dogs. A few Staffordshire Bull terriers stayed behind in Switzerland were my sister, Lily Dunner continued with the breeding and the showing of our dogs with great success.|
In 2003 my youngest daughter Heidi who’s earliest child hood memories are
playing with Staffordshire Bull Terriers has started taking over and running
our breeding program in Canada.
As you can see the English Staffordshire Bull Terriers are a family affair for us, I raised 5 children around “the nanny dog” and let me tell you they come by that name honestly. Now semi retired, my husband and I spend our winters in Florida with a bunch of our beloved English Staffordshire Bull Terriers. For over 30 years I have had a Staffy lying by my feet and I can not imagine a day I would be deprived of that joy. Once you have owned a Staffordshire Bull Terrier no other breed will compare, every thing about them is true, they adore children, they are loyal and reliable, they are truly the perfect family companion.
