She is an amazing producer, she gives her offspring, talent, personality and looks!

Her sire SALUT is definitely the best moving stallion on this continent today. He descends from a long line of outstanding dressage horses. His sire SULTAN was ridden by Dr. Reimer Klimke. His grand sire, PATRON, is regarded as the most important upgrading post-war sire in the Trakehner breed. He had the reputation as a sure producer of very ride able dressage horses. PATRON sired many states premium mares and 13 approved stallions including PASTERNAK, who is approved for Rheinland and MACKENSEN, who himself was champion of his 100 day test in Neumunster in 1978 and produced a number of approved stallions, such as CHARLY CHAPLIN, CHANTILLY, ELIGIUS, SAMURAI, VELASQUEZ, MEPHISTOPHELES, he also produced some phenomenal sport horses like EPSILON, PALADIN 63 and PLEASE ME to just name a few. MACKENSEN is the producer of the highest money earning Trakehner offspring, they have eared over 200'000DM mainly in dressage to date. He is also the half brother to the stallion MAHAGONI. On SALUT'S mother's side, he goes back to KASSIO, the most important representative of the famous ABGLANZ bloodline. KASSIO produced 13 approved sons like GRIMSEL, GRISET, GREGOR and GELRIA. ABGLANZ had a huge impact on the Warmblood breeding in Germany. ABGLANZ produced such stallions as AALFÄNGER, ABEND, ABGOTT, ABHANG I to III, ABSTAND, ABSURD, AKROBAT, ARTUR, KASSIO, MORGENGLANZ, VALENTIN, ARCHIMEDES and the most famous ABSATZ. He also produced such sport horses as ZUKUNFT who was the international show jumper ridden by Alwin Schockemöhle. MORGENGLANZ by ABGLANZ has founded a strong sire line in North America. The most famous post-war representative of the DAMPFROSS line is ABGLANZ. He also founded the A-line in the modern Hannoverian breed and is a sire of international importance. KASSIO's son, GELRIA was the only privately owned stallion in history to be rented by two state studs from 1985 to 1988 - Hannover state stud Celle and in 1990 - Baden Württemberg state stud Marbach. GELRIA was noted for his magnificent trot and canter; he has 5 approved sons like STUEBEN, champion stallion purchased by Celle in 1981, and GRAND GALOPIN, winner of the 1990 Stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. GELRIA also sired such sport horses as GODIVA 13, GOLDEGG, GRAF GEORG and GWENDA. Also on his mothers side SALUT goes back to the outstanding stallion IMPULS who produced 16 approved sons and two Olympic horses IMANUEL 1972 in München competing for East Germany and DAHLWITZ 1979 in Montreal competing for the USA.

Her dam AKONDA is a Hannoverian mare with an outstanding pedigree that carries through with the WINCHESTER talent for an impressive jumping technique. WINCHESTER was ridden here in Canada by Ian Miller. He is by the stallion WINNETOU whose name still shows up in many international jumping pedigrees today. We also find in her pedigree the stallion GRANDE, the sire of such stallions as GRANDUELL and the horse GUTE SITTE, a bronze medalist at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, also GALAPAHOS, winner of the individual bronze and the team gold in 1981 at the European Dressage Championship in Laxenburg, Austria.
