ZENA is a stunning filly.

ZENA was awarded Gold Premium, scoring 8.1 total at the "Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar International" (RPSI) inspection. Scoring 8 for her lovely type, and 8.2 for her flowing movement!

Her sire CYRANO Z was a very accomplished show jumper himself. Shown under the name of "Jet Blue" ridden by Derek Braun. CYRANO Zís sire CATANGO Z is a stallion with a fantastic pedigree. His background includes many celebrities, such as CANTUS, HEUREKA Z, CAPITOL I, CALYPSO I, CALETTO II, ALME Z and LADYKILLER XX. His grand-sire CANTUS is known as one of the best breeding stallions for jumping horses. CANTUS left many top-class jumpers behind, including CALVARO V from Willi Melliger (Switzerland), who always finished in the best four in the last four championships. Also the mare line of CATANGO Z, lineage 7126 in Holstein, has produced many great names: FRA DIAVOLO, ACORD I and II, BURGGRAAF, FREEMANN and many more. CATANGO Z's dam ZITA is a daughter of the HEUREKA Z son AHORN Z, bred at Zangersheide at the time. ZITA is the sister to the stallions ACOBAT I and II by ATHLET Z. They all come from the CAPITOL I daughter TSCHITA, who is a daughter of ORUNA by CALIYPSO I, this mare caused a sensation in the International jumping sport under the name of GRAFIN. She is a full sister to the stallion CHICAGO and the mare RIBECKA.
CYRANO Zís dam CERISE Z is sired by CALANDO I, who was sold into show jumping after a three year covering stint and became a real hit. He became German Champion in 1984 under Karsten Huck and in the very same year managed to get placingís in Rome, Dublin and the Calgary Grand Prix'. Thereafter, under E H Cupper of Belgium, he achieved countless further international successes. CALANDO Iís sire needs no introduction; he is the cornerstone of sport horse breeding COR DE LA BRY»RE is the stallion that revolutionized jumping horse breeding. COR DE LA BRY»RE quickly made a strong impression upon arrival to Germany by becoming the 1971 Champion of the 100 day stallion performance test. In his first season at stud, COR DE LA BRY»RE covered 70 mares with four colts from this first crop becoming licensed stallions. He was a stallion of great vigor and, even as late as 1977, still served a full book of 111 mares. Famous offspring include CASSINI I who was a successful showjumping competitor with Denmarkís Bo Kristoffersen - as a nine-year-old Cassini I was part of the Danish Nations Cup team in Helsiniki, and participated in the European Championship in Mannheim. Franke Sloothaak took over the ride, and again achieved success in World Cup qualifiers and Nations Cups. Also CASSINI II, CAROLUS, INDOCTRO, and 40+ approved sons and grandsons in every studbook. HEILBUTT is the grand dam sire of CAPITOL, CAPITANO is the dam sire of CASSINI I who is the most sought after Holsteiner sire in the world, his son CUMANO was the hero of the 2006 WEG Ė the giant grey Holsteiner that not only carried his rider, Jos Lansink to a world title, but also gave the other three riders in the jumpoff, all of them ladies, a lovely ride each time.

His dam VERDUN is an inquisitive mare. She is very athletic. She is a full sister to VON VOLTAIRE and VITALIS. Her sire FOREVER is a tremendously talented jumper. He has competed in CSI's in Europe and North America with countless winnings and placing to his credit. In 1996 and 1997 he also competed at CSI-W. His sire VOLTAIRE is an outstanding performer and has produced many amazing stallions, VOLTAIRE is the result of crossing two significant bloodlines, FURIOSO II and GOTTHARD. As a Grand Prix jumper, VOLTAIRE has proven himself in International Show Jumping in Calgary, Stockholm and Wembly. In 1989 he won the Grand Prix of Berlin, this made him a legend in his own time. He also had the most offspring's at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, he also sired such horses as ALTAIR ridden by Beth Underhill and PLAY IT AGAIN ridden by Ian Miller and the horse of the Year FINESSE ridden by Emile Hendrix. VOLTAIRE is the 3rd leading sire of show jumpers in Holland and 4th leading sire in the World. He has sired such stallions in Holland as OLYMPIC CONCORD, DAMOCLES, EQUADOR, FARMER and GERSWIN, along with the stallions ELECTRO in Sweden and FIREVER in Belgium just to name a few. VOLTAIRE has also sired such performance horses as, HALLO HALLO, FANTAST, DANTE, VIVALDI, ESPECIAL, ELECTRA, ETAIRE, DON and CONCORED they are already highly placed, and making a name for themselves in International Show Jumping. On his dams' side, FOREVER goes back to the stallion ABGAR XX a French Thoroughbred stallion that produced a large number of show jumpers. His best known son's are PELE, TREFFER (Olympic show jumper) PION the stallion who produced such dressage stallions as AKTION and DEMOCRAAT, and of course the stallion OMMEN an outstanding show jumper who also competed at the 1986 world cup finals. Also in FOREVER's pedigree we find one of the best Thoroughbreds in the Warmblood breeding, the stallion LUCKY BOY XX. He produced a huge number of leading approved sires, which included NATUREL, CANDYBOY, DERRICK, NOOITGEDACHT, DUTCH BOY, CASANOVA, OBRECHT, A LUCKY ONE, OMEGA, (the sire of BELMONDO, OCTROOI) BEAUJOLAIS and COLUMBUS. At the Los Angeles Olympics there were three sons of LUCKY BOY, and his show jumpers include CALYPSO, VAN GOGH and THE VICTOR.
VERDUN's dam REGINA, true to her breeding, is a powerful jumper with a good eye for distances. Her sire RIO GRANDE ridden by Eric Lamanze, has made a great impact on breeding in Canada. He goes back to the stallion RAMIRO Z, one of the most successful jumping horses on the international scene, when ridden by Fritz Ligges. His progeny include DONAU ridden by Thomas Fruehmann, RAMIRO'S GIRL and RODNEY ridden by Fritz Ligges, also RATINA Z ridden by L. Beerbaum and VISA RINNETOU Z ridden by Piet Raymakers for Holland.
