ODESSA is a big boned, pretty mare.

She is a half sister to VAJAS.

She was awarded Silver Premium at the "Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar International" (RPSI) inspection, scoring 7.2 for her type, 7.6 for movement, finishing with a total score of 7.4

Her sire ODYSSEUS W is an outstanding stallion with an impressive competition record. He has successfully shown in many Grand Prix classes.
ODYSSEUS W’s sire HOLLAND who himself competed at top International level with Irishman Eddie Macken. ODYSSEUS W’s grand sire CONCORDE, (later known as OLYMPIC CONCORDE) won the 1990 National Stallion Competition among many International wins for Jos Lansink. CONCORDE was also the youngest stallion ever to be awarded "preferent" due to his endless list of National and International offspring. CONCORDE comes from very strong jumping lines on both sides. His sire is the impressive dominant breeding stallion VOLTAIRE, who via his sire FURIOSO II and the great GOTTHARD is bred to perform. VOLTAIRE was number 2 in the World Breeding Rankings for Showjumping sires in 1996. Through the performance of his offspring, VOLTAIRE stands very high in both the dressage and jumping indices. Due to his high ranking position, he was given the quot;keur' and quot;preferent' predicates at a very early age. He has sired a great number of International stars including Dutch team horse FINESSE, Beth Underhill's ALTAIR, Ian Miller's Olympic mount PLAY IT AGAIN, HELIOS, ELECTRO 778, KANNAN, VECHTA, VIVALDI. FURIOSO II produced 200 state premium mares and at least 70 approved stallions. One can easily say that FURIOSO II has influenced the breeding industry worldwide. The full brother of FURIOSO II is the French stallion MEXICO, whose son LE MEXICO is a familiar name in Dutch breeding and frequently appears in the pedigrees of successful showjumpers. GOTTHARD, now more than fifteen years after his death, is a legend in German sport horse breeding and his name is simply a synonym for the Hannoverian showjumper. Who has not heard of GOLDIKA, GOYA, QUEENSWAY and GENIUS? GOTTHARD's strength is continued in his sons and grandsons but also indirectly on the dam side of for instance GRUNDSTEIN and GRANNUS.CONCORDE’S dam, FLYER, is by the legendary MARCO POLO, one of the most influential Dutch stallions in breeding and jumping having produced such athletes as IRCO POLO, PYBALIA, MARIUS, ORPHEUS, MR. LA, PIERROT and RECRUUT. FLYER is related to the International jumper VIVALDI, which under Melanie Smith was speed horse of the year 1980. FLYER has produced 6 International jumpers.

ODESSA's dam dam LA PIP is an impressive solid mare. This mare is just like her sire LE COMTE II and will definitely make a superb show jumper!
LA PIP scored 7.4 total, with 7.4 for both type and for movement at the "Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar International" (RPSI) inspection.
Her sire LE COMTE II has proven himself in the breeding shed as well as in the show ring, competing at open jumper and up to Prix St. George in dressage. He is the full brother to the also approved stallion LE COMTE I who stands in Germany.
On his sires side he comes from the champion Holsteiner stallion LEANDER, who is best known for his presence and exceptional movement. LEANDER sired some superb sport horses like the champion dressage horse LIDQ 54. He also produced some excellent stallions like LEGATO, LAGANO (now breeding in Denmark), in Hessen, the champion stallion of 1982, LEANDERS's BOY (now in Switzerland) and LEANCON. With the mare TOSCANA he produced two approved sons LE COMTE I and LE COMTE II. Also in LE COMTE II's pedigree we find the legendary stallion LADYKILLER XX. He stood at stud from 1965 to 1979 and is still one of the most sought after names in pedigrees of both breeding and competition horses. LADYKILLER XX sired 23 approved stallions and one of them LANDGRAF I, he was the leading West German sire with the highest progeny earnings in competition. Also the stallion LORD who needs no introduction and LAGOS, LORENZ who also stood in Holland where he was very influential, LEANDER the champion stallion in 1973 and LIDO to just name a few. On his mothers side is the "stempelhengst" COR DE LA BRYERE one of the most popular stallions ever. He produced such top level competition horses as CONTRAST ridden by Herbert Blöcker at the three day event World Championships in 1982, the International show jumper COSTA ridden by Michael Rüping and the leading Grand Prix dressage horse CORLANDUS ridden by Margit Otto Crepin for France. COR DE LA BRYERE produced 41 approved sons like CALANDO I to V, CALETTO I to III, CALVADOS I and II, CALYPSO I to V, CORRADO I to II, CORTINO I and II, COME BACK I and II, CORTEZ I and II, CARDINAL, CARACAS, CONSTANT, CONVENT, CANSAS, CANTARES, CASSONE, CANNONBALL, CAPRICCIO, CORVADO, CINZANO, CORDES, BOY VZ, CORDALME Z, CADENCE Z, CORDEUR, CHAIRMEN, CICERO, CORIALL, CARNEVAL, CASTOR, COUNTDOWN, COR DE BRILLANT, COR D' ALME Z, CAPITAL, CARTE D' OR, CARUSO, CABARET, CALIMBO, CASH, CASANOVA, CASANOVA, CHACO, CHANTRE, CHIRON Z, MR. Her sire PAJAS goes back to the stallion PIK KOENIG who produced the two famous stallions PIK BUBE I and the Celle owned PIK BUBE II. Both are sires of excellent dressage as well as jumping progeny. PIK BUBE I was a Prix St George horse with Herbert Rehbein, his daughter PIKANTJE became the German National Riding Horse Champion and her son PICASSO was exported to Denmark.
