He was awarded Silver Premium at the "Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar International" (RPSI) inspection. Scoring 6.8 for his type, 7.4 for his movement, finishing with a total score of 7.1
FALTHEO'S sire FEUEROPAL is a legend in the making. This stallion is a spectacular athlete with numerous winnings and placing in the high preliminary level jumping competitions in Germany. FEUEROPAL'S sire, WERTHER, is a son of the famous WENDEKREIS who has sired such stallions as WAGNER, WENDELIN, WENDENBURG, WENDLAND II, WENDULAN and WILDFANG. Also in his pedigree is the stallion MARCIO XX, most noted for producing ride ability. On his mother's side he goes back to one of the greatest Trakehner stallions that ever lived, IMPULS. This horse has 16 approved sons and produced such horses as DAHLWITZ who was ridden by Edith Master of the USA Olympic Team in Montreal in 1976. Also on his mother's side is WINNETOU, a son of FERDINAND, who sired horses like WIDUKIND, international show jumper, ridden by Eric Wauters of Belgium, FERDL, team jumping gold medalist at the 1960 Olympics, ridden by Alvin Schockemoehle, MEHMED, gold medalist 1976 Olympics, ridden by Dr. Reimer Klimke, and FLIPPER, an international show jumper ridden by Hugo Simon.
FALTHEO'S dam ZALTHEA Z or LULU as we call her is an impressive large framed mare. She has made her mark in the jumper ring and is now a welcome addition to our broodmare program.
Her sire ZEUS was a consistent sire of top jumping horses over a long career in both Germany and Holland. He has sired such horses as PLAYBACK ridden by Rodney Jenkins, they won the 1987 AHSA Jumper of the Year and was sixth at the World Cup Final in 1989. Canadian rider Ian Millar had success with both LONSOME DOVE and CZAR both by ZEUS. Also MIDNIGHT MADNESS under Michael Whitaker, Hauser’s ZYPRA and Dirk Hauser, with VIRTUAL VILLAGE and ZALZA with Nick Skelton, all contributed to ZEUS’s fame. Zeus’ German registered progeny had won a total of DM4.3 million by the year 2001, and in that year, the grand old man still managed to finish in 10th place on the WBFSH rankings for the year, with his most successful progeny in that year being ZANDOR Z. He has had a very successful competition career with Jos Lansink, placing second in the Hachenburg and Geesteren Grand Prix, and third in the Grand Prix of Europe in Aachen. ZANDOR Z is the only stallion son of Zeus still in competition. His two most influential stallion sons have been ZYKLOTRON and BEACH BOY. ZYKLOTRON out of a mare by Admiral I has sired two international jumpers, ZUCKERPUPPE and ZARZUELA. As a sire of broodmares, ZEUS has been very important, with the international competitors: CAT BALLOU, ERMIS, LYSIAS, PRIM ZARO, RICCARDA, and most importantly, TINKA’s BOY, all out of mares by ZEUS. ZEUS is ranked 6th in the standings for 1990 to 2000 with 34 representatives!
On her mothers side we find two of the best athletes that ever existed ATHLET Z and FURIOSO II. The grey stallion ATHLET Z was the first Hanoverian to be used in Holstein breeding for many years, although while he wore the Hanoverian brand, his bloodlines were a heady continental cocktail. ATHLET Z sired several approved sons, such as ABDULKARIM, ACOBAT I, ACOBAT II, ACOBAT III, ADELFOS, ALDAN, ALETTO. ALIDO, ARTURO, ATHLETIC LORD, ATHLETICO, ATLANTUS Z, ATTIKOS, AVERO, AZZARO Z. His sire ALME was one of the treasures of French breeding, however on his dam’s side, ATHLET Z descends from that pillar of Hanoverian breeding, GOTTHARD, and on the dam line, to an even earlier pillar FEINER KERL. Also in her pedigree one of the grate FURIOSO II the big chestnut stallion with the white belly spot, the stallion FURIOSO II this Anglo Norman stallion has left his impression in just about every German and European riding horse breed.
